Aftercare & support

We want you to feel confident long after installation day. Here you’ll find simple care advice, how to request an adjustment, and the quickest way to report an issue if something doesn’t look right.

Quick help

Door catching or stiff to open?

Most doors and hinges can be adjusted quickly. Send a couple of photos and we’ll advise next steps.

Condensation inside glass?

If you can see moisture between the panes, it may indicate a sealed unit issue.

Lost your paperwork?

Don’t worry – just pop your postcode into FENSA’s website to get a new certificate.

Caring for your new windows and doors

A little simple maintenance helps keep frames looking their best and ensures hinges, handles and locks work smoothly for years.

Cleaning frames and glass

  • Clean frames with warm soapy water at regular intervals (typically at least every 6 months)

  • Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads

  • Rinse and dry after cleaning to prevent residue build-up

Lubricating hinges, handles and locks

  • Lightly oil moving hardware such as hinges and handles at least twice a year

  • If hardware feels stiff or noisy, a quick service usually restores smooth operation

  • Keeping hardware maintained helps protect long-term performance

Adjustments and settling-in

If your doors drop or start to catch during a natural settling in period, please contact us and we’ll arrange an adjustment. Adjustments are free of charge within the first year.

If an issue falls outside the guarantee period, we can often still help – we’ll advise on the most practical and cost-effective solution.

Guarantees - what you need to know

All products we supply and install come with guarantee cover. The length and terms depend on the product and installation type. For full details, please refer to our product guarantee document.

We’re FENSA registered and provide insurance-backed guarantees for qualifying installations.

Lost paperwork?

If you’ve lost your FENSA certificate, don’t worry – it’s easy to replace.

Just visit the FENSA website and search using your postcode and house number to find or reorder your certificate. If nothing shows up, it may simply mean the installation wasn’t registered, in which case FENSA can guide you on what to do next

Reporting a defect

If you notice a fault, please report it as soon as possible. Early reporting often reduces the time and cost involved in putting things right.
